A unique evening of poetry reading and piano music to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, rescheduled from 2020. Award-winning poet Ruth Padel reads from her collection ‘Beethoven Variations: Poems on a Life’, with a taste of the great composer’s piano music performed by historic keyboard expert Carole Cerasi on an instrument once owned by Haydn and which Beethoven himself would have known. The setting for this very special event is the beautiful Music Room at Hatchlands Park which houses the historic harpsichords and pianos of The Cobbe Collection.
