Setting the scene
Three leading crime writers discuss the importance of the setting in creating the atmosphere and building suspense incrime writing. William Shaw, Olivia Kiernan and James Henry will discuss the theme in connection to their latest books set, respectively, on the brooding waters of the Kent coastline, in Dublin city, and in the garrison town of Colchester.
William Shaw’s book, The Trawlerman, is the fourth book in his Alexandra Cupidi series. The Murder Box by Olivia Kiernan is also the fourth book in a series, while James Henry’s latest, Whitethroat, is the third book to feature DI Nicholas Lowry.
