Investec International Music Festival

Exquisite works for lute and theorbo performed by Paula Chateauneuf in the Tudor splendour of West Horsley Place’s Stone Hall.

Virtuoso lutenist Paula Chateauneuf brings the Tudor past of West Horsley Place to life, performing exquisite works from the Golden Age of lute music by Dowland, Lully and others in the elegant Stone Hall in which Henry VIII himself once dined. In between colourful English dances and flamboyant Italian and French arias, Paula will speak about her beautiful instruments and the programme which is inspired by some of the historical figures connected to the house, including Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Raleigh. Limited seating so book early!
