Investec International Music Festival

In collaboration with Guildford Book Festival and Hatchlands Park

A unique evening of poetry reading and piano music to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. Award-winning poet Ruth Padel reads from her new collection ‘Beethoven Variations: Poems on a Life’, with a taste of the great composer’s piano music performed by the Festival’s Artistic Director Wu Qian. The setting for this very special evening is the beautiful Music Room at Hatchlands Park which houses the historical keyboards instruments of the Cobbe Collection, one of which was once played by Beethoven himself.

Your ticket includes a post-event drink – signed copies of ‘Beethoven Variations’ will be available to purchase on the night.

Online booking subject to a 5% booking fee per ticket (capped at £5 per transaction)
