An evening of light choral music from across Europe, from the early 16th century to the present day; perfect for a summer evening.
The programme will include many of the most-loved English madrigals by Morley, Gibbons and Weelkes as well as mini-masterpieces from Italy by Gabrieli and Montiverdi. The sequence will also include 19th century part-songs by Sullivan and Stanford, with works by Parry, Elgar, Delius and Vaughan Williams bringing us into the 20th century. These entertaining and varied vocal gems will be interspersed with short instrumental pieces for lute and theorbo.
Throughout this year we are pleased to be supporting the work of the Meath Epilepsy Charity, Godalming.
